From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed not just by our family, but by the families who return year after year and are quick to make you feel like one of their own. The town of Christina Lake comes alive in the summer, and so does the campground—buzzing with bike bells, screen doors, splashes from the dock, and the hum of happy campers. Days are full of sunshine and chatter, and when the sun dips behind the mountains, it’s the crackle of the campfire and the chirp of the crickets that lull you to sleep. With the warmth of the lake, the warmth of the people, and the joy of being part of something meaningful, working here is more than just a job—it’s a season you’ll never forget.

More About Us:
Skands Campground is a beloved, family-run gem nestled on the shores of Christina Lake, BC - Canada’s warmest tree-lined lake. Located between Grand Forks and Castlegar (about a 7-hour scenic drive from Vancouver), Skands has been in the same family since 1909 and welcoming campers since 1970.
We offer 84 seasonal sites, including 47 permanents, and three onsite trailer rentals. It’s a place where memories are made, stories are passed down, and traditions live on. Many of our guests first came as kids and now return with their own children and grandchildren.
Our campers are mainly Canadian and U.S. families (plus a few adventurous Europeans), drawn by the easygoing, nostalgic vibe. Think: cannonballs off the dock, kids riding bikes from dawn to dusk, marshmallows by the fire, and friendships that last a lifetime.
At Skands, we’re in the business of making memories for generations - that stands for our guests as well as our employees.
