Skands Campground is on the hunt for a Weekly RV Cleaner who takes pride in the little things—because at the end of a long day in the lake and sun, our guests really appreciate a spotless washroom, a well-stocked shower, and a fresh-smelling unit as they walk in the door. If you're the kind of person who takes satisfaction in knowing you’ve made someone’s day without even meeting them, we think you'll love it here.

You’ll be responsible for our three on-site rental RVs—think cozy, hotel-style stays on wheels. Flexible hours, fresh air, and a workday that smells like pine trees? Yes, please.

This is a behind-the-scenes role that’s every bit as important to the guest experience as the s’mores and sunshine. When campers walk into a sparkling-clean RV, your work is the first thing they feel (and appreciate).

About Skands Campground:

Skands Campground is a beloved, family-run gem nestled on the shores of Christina Lake, BC—Canada’s warmest tree-lined lake. Nestled between Grand Forks and Castlegar (about a 7-hour scenic drive from Vancouver) in BC’s Kootenay and Boundary region, Skands has been in the same family since 1909 and welcoming campers since 1970.

We offer 120 semi-serviced seasonal sites, including 47 permanents, and three onsite trailer rentals. It’s a place where memories are made, stories are passed down, and traditions live on. Many of our guests first came as kids and now return with their own children and grandchildren.

Our campers are mainly Canadian and U.S. families (plus a few adventurous Europeans), drawn by the easygoing, nostalgic vibe. Think: cannonballs off the dock, kids riding bikes from dawn to dusk, marshmallows by the fire, and friendships that last a lifetime.

At Skands, we’re in the business of making memories for generations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize rental RVs

  • Change bed linens and tidy living areas

  • Clean bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, wipe down surfaces

  • Restock essentials like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels

  • Follow cleaning checklists and safety protocols

  • Flag any damage or maintenance issues to the manager

Who We’re Looking For:

You are:

  • Flexible. From May to June, rental turnover is a little unpredictable - cleaning days will vary based on guest bookings (though we’ll provide you with a calendar as soon as we can). In July and August, it’s more consistent: expect Saturdays, usually 6 hours depending on check-outs, with the occasional extra shift sprinkled in.

  • The kind of person who notices when a picture frame’s a little crooked

  • Reliable, consistent, and proud of a job well done

  • Experienced in housekeeping, vacation rentals, or hotel cleaning (bonus points!)

  • Able to work independently and manage your time like a pro

  • Calm, easygoing, and not fazed by a little grime

  • Someone who doesn’t mind bending, lifting, or doing a bit of elbow-grease work to keep things sparkling

  • A fan of quiet spaces, fresh air, and turning over a space that makes people smile when they walk in

One last thing…

Cleaning an RV isn’t quite the same as tidying your guest room at home. It’s more physical than your average cleaning gig — you’ll be hauling supplies, changing linens, maneuvering in tight spaces, and scrubbing spots that only a contortionist would love. If that doesn’t sound like fun, this might not be the right fit.

But if you’re the kind of person who finds satisfaction in a job well done, loves a good before-and-after, and doesn’t mind breaking a sweat to make a space sparkle — you’ll fit right in.
